Our 10-day mini unit; which can be modified to 10-12 days, focuses on compassion and acceptance of all regardless of (dis)abilities, gender and/or race.  It is important for our children not only to learn about differences but to actively model kindness to others.  

The lessons are designed to meet the needs of diverse learners with a variety of teaching strategies.
